As you can see by some of the pictures I posted below! There was dust and there was mud! I vote the mud the best though! They had a really good turnout of participants and spectators. The trails were quite. Not many people out riding around. Sure the gas prices have alot to do with it. Ambrose Lake had about 10 campers. Beaver Trail Campground was packed out. It is really nice to see our local economy reaping from the benefits people staying in Michigan for a vacation this year. Sadly our summer riding time is becoming shorter. We are almost to the month of September and everyone will be back into the swing of school and getting back to the grind of working full time until Christmas break. We on the other hand are looking forward to the white stuff also. I was down all last winter due to a hip replacement but trust me, I WILL be out there with the best of them riding the snowny slopes and bumpy trails that winter brings to this wonderful state of Michigan. Would never trade the delights of the (4) seasons that we get in enjoy in Michigan. Sure as time passes by, I am like most people and would enjoy a month in the sun come March and April but winter is almost done and I would gladly trade mud and dirty snow for some much needed sunshine by then. So enjoy the last few weekends you have left of the northern woods. Don't forget to come visit us for the Fall colors. The BentWheels Orv club will be having their color tour the first weekend of October, so get ahold of them and join the fun.
See you on the trails!!!
